Well... In December 2003 this site celebrated 5 years on the web and it has certainly moved
on from the original uploaded in 1998, and has had quite a few re-designs. I hope you find
the current design easy to navigate.
The original site was built for those who were new to web page design, and needed a source
of links to information and tutorials that would help them with their learning. The idea
for building such a site struck me when a few friends had asked me to design a site for
them, because they had no idea how to go about it, and were fed up of sifting through
search engine results to find the right information. I could empathise with this, as I had
been down the same road myself many years ago, so I decided to surf the net for relevant
sites and build my own site that would provide links that would be useful to
people looking to design web pages... you are now visiting the result.
I try to update this site whenever possible, but as I maintain it on my own, it is not
expanding as fast as I would like, and there are still areas that need improving upon. A
full time day job plus part-time web development and many other commitments, leaves very
little spare time for seeking out new sites to add, creating more free templates and getting
around to 101 other jobs... but they will get done slowly but surely.
You may have noticed the absence of banner ads and other such annoyances that distract your attention...
I'm hoping to keep this site free from that sort of thing for as long as I can. You may
also notice links to sites that are similar to mine i.e. resource link providers... well
this site is all about pointing you to resources, so why not include them too.
